Every owner wants to know if the server is growing, and the player count on a server list only tells you how busy it is right now. It won't tell you that half your new players leave inside ten minutes, or that three of your regulars haven't been on for two weeks.

Player Insights records every join and leave by Rockstar license and turns it into a dashboard your staff open in game with /insights. You get new and returning players for each of the last 30 days, and a cohort table with the share of each week's new players who came back after a day, a week, two weeks and a month. Also there's the first hour signal, which puts how long a new player's first session lasted against whether they ever returned. That points straight at the part of your server that loses people.

The activity view is a heatmap of every hour of the week in your time zone, so you can plan events and staff cover around when players are on. The at-risk list shows regulars who have been away far longer than they usually are, while there's still time to reach out. Disconnects are grouped into quit, timed out, crashed, kicked and restart, so a crash wave stands out.

It also handles the edge cases that break simple trackers. Reconnects after a crash continue the same session, restarts lose at most two minutes, sessions over midnight and over a clock change are split correctly, and a host clock set backwards never produces negative time. Daily totals are rolled up, so the dashboard stays fast with a year of data.

What it does

  • New and returning players per day, with today live
  • Weekly cohort retention table (day 1, 7, 14 and 30, all configurable)
  • First session length against coming back
  • Average and median session length, plus a total playtime breakdown
  • Peak players heatmap for every hour of the week, in your time zone with summer time
  • Regulars at risk, judged against each player's own usual gap
  • Leaving reasons: quit, timed out, crashed, kicked, server restart
  • Optional daily Discord summary
  • Exports: GetPlaytime, GetFirstSeen, IsNewPlayer for welcome and reward scripts
  • Works with no framework, and shows character names on ESX, Qbox and QBCore
  • Tables create themselves on first start
